Kristin Kirkpatrick is the manager of Wellness Nutrition Services at the Cleveland Clinic Wellness Institute, in Cleveland, Ohio. She is an experienced presenter, an award winning Dietitian, an Author and a regular television guest on both local and national shows as well a contributor to several national magazines and newspapers such as The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, TIME, Runners World and Women’s Health. Her career began in Washington, DC, lobbying for Medical Nutrition Therapy reform with the American Dietetic Association Policy and Advocacy group. From there, she went on to become the Regional Coordinator of the NHLB (National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute) Hearts N Parks program in Montgomery County, Maryland. During her time with Hearts N Parks, she designed, implemented and measured health promotion programs within the Washington, DC metro area.
Kirkpatrick returned to Ohio where she began working at Cleveland Clinic’s Department of Cardiovascular Genetics. At this time she entered into the University of Akron’s coordinated program in Dietetics.
She presents on a variety of nutrition and wellness related topics and is a regular contributor on the Today Show, and the Dr. Oz show and serves on Dr. Oz’s medical advisory board. In addition, Kirkpatrick writes for the Huffington Post, US News and World Report, is the nutrition advisor on the YouBeauty web site and is a featured expert on Cleveland Clinic’s Health Hub. She can be found quoted in newspapers and magazines such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Martha Stewart Living, Fitness, Women’s Health, Women’s Day, Shape, Food Network, Costco Connection and Self and has also been a featured expert on NBC Nightly News and CNN Health.com
Kristin Kirkpatrick has over 16 years of experience in the health management area, holds an MS in Health Promotion Management from American University in Washington, DC, and a BA in Political Science from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. She is licensed as a Registered Dietitian in the state of Ohio.
